THE SECRET STEP

THE DANCE PIECE – VIDEOMAPPING

Immersed in a sort of living kaleidoscope, imagine a paper universe in which video projections, motion capture and the virtuosity of hip-hop and contemporary dance intermingle. A biologic-visual cycle, in which a reflection from the world of science meets artistic hybridization, in a playful and aesthetic decompartmentalization.

THE MOTION CAPTURE LAB

This show uses the “Motion Capture” technology in collaboration with the NUMEDIART laboratory (UMONS).

For several years, the Okus Lab company, directed by Manu Di Martino, has developed choreographic projects and experiments. A reflection on dance, its possibilities of hybridization and its interactions with digital and visual arts.

Within the framework of the performance project “The Secret Step”, come and discover the results of the first laboratories around movement capture and choreographic mutation.  The work is fed by the artistic identities of Benoît Nieto Durant / Bboy Tuk and Fabio Amato / Bboy Neo recognized for their track record and their singularity in the world of Bboying. In a next step, this project will give rise to an Immersive experience using virtual reality and the production of 3D prints.
